Our Opava plant is the biggest and the most modern biscuit manufacturing facility of Mondelēz International in Europe. It has 16 production lines in total, 5 of which are state-of-the-art manufacturing Lines of the Future producing OREO and belVita biscuits (locally known as BeBe Dobré ráno). Our Opava plant produces 10 million OREO cookies per day!

Our Opava plant maintains a world-class LEED green building certification used for buildings that save energy, water, resources, generate less waste and support human health. For example, it is equipped with energy efficient lighting or heating. Within the context of measures sensitive to nature and resources, the use of rainwater to flush toilets has also been introduced while the plant as a whole is a zero-waste-to-landfill facility.

The key ingredients we use in our products are sources sustainably thanks to our company’s global projects. Wheat is sourced through the Harmony Wheat program that promotes biodiversity and good environmental practices in wheat production in Europe. Cocoa is gained via the Cocoa Life program that focuses on sustainable cultivation of cocoa.
In our company, we know what diversity means. The history of our plants in Czechia and Slovakia dates back to the 19th century. The oldest factory with more than 200 years of tradition is a biscuits plant in Lovosice. Its origins date back to 1806. The tradition of our Opava plant dates back to 1840, in case of our plant in Mariánské Lázně it dates to 1856. Our Slovak chocolate factory in Bratislava was founded in 1896.
Our company commits to making all packaging recyclable by 2025 and recycling information for consumers will be provided on packaging of all our products. All paper-based packaging will be sustainably sourced by 2020.
In Czechia and Slovakia, our company has been operating since 1992. In four factories, two business units and a shared services center, it employs almost 2500 people and our local sales offices offer around 500 products under 16 brands on these markets.
Our Czech business unit is based in Karlín, Prague. The oldest company plant in Czechia and Slovakia is our plant in Lovosice which focuses on the production of biscuits and wafers. Its origins date back to 1806. The plant in Mariánské Lázně has been baking traditional spa wafers Kolonáda for more than 160 years. And our factory in Opava with its rich tradition, that dates back to 1840, is the biggest and the most modern biscuit manufacturing facility of Mondelēz International in Europe.
In Slovakia, we have a production plant in Bratislava, which has been focusing on chocolate confectionery for more than 120 years. In Bratislava, there is also a Slovak business unit as well as the European Business Service Centre (EBSC), which is home to a group of technical experts from Finance, Information Technology Solutions, and Procurement who support our global business.

Mondelēz International offers a unique 3 year Junior Management Program (JUMP) for graduates that opens doors to our production plants in Opava and Lovosice, to our offices in Prague and Bratislava and to other branches throughout Europe.
JUMP offers a sure start on your journey to become a future leader in our innovative FMCG environment. If you’re internationally mobile, the opportunities to open up future career experiences will be even better! Probably you do not yet know if you will enjoy more a position in production, logistics, marketing or business. And this program allows you to try what will be the right position for you. The department manager will become your mentor and you will be able to discuss everything. You’ll also get a lot of advice and support from our leaders and other colleagues.
